Forward Role's Managing Director is riding 60 miles from Manchester to Blackpool this weekend to raise money for The Christie.
It's not the first time Steve has taken part in the event, in 2010 he came up with what he describes as a "terrible idea" to complete the course on a tandem.
"Last time I totally underestimated the distance and the tandem we hired only had 3 gears, which were unsuitable for any sort of hill. After about 30 miles I couldn't get the lactic out of my legs and for the last 10 miles I wanted to get off the bike and push/cry my way to the finish line! It took us 8 hours to complete the whole thing, so I'm looking forward to beating that time on a more sensible bike this Sunday and raising as much money as possible for The Christie."

One client that Steve won't be trying to emulate anytime soon is Appliances Online and their fantastic JOGLE team. A team of 14 employees from AO recently completed the mammoth task of cycling a whopping 960 miles, from John O' Groats to Land's End to raise money for the Children's Hospice Derian House! Congratulations to them all for raising £48,000 so far. Please help them get to the £50k mark by sponsoring them at:

Forward Role work as Marketing Recruitment partners with Appliances Online and we're proud to support them by donating £1,000 to Derian House and their amazing work.
