Forward Role have partnered with a global charity to find a new Global Communications Director to lead their global communications team. The new director will provide support across all divisions and contribute to the strategic vision of the charity on a global scale. They operate globally to assist with poverty, natural disaster and social injustice by providing solutions like medical aid, education, food and critical intervention. About the role…

  • Contribute to strategic vision for the charity on a global basis.
  • Day to day oversight and management of the global communications team.
  • Devise and oversee annual communications plans & budgets.
  • Provide training, coaching and performance management of the global communications team.
  • Oversight of key functions including the creative, web development, PR, advocacy and global communications.
  • Manage production pipeline, including shoots, pre and post-production, and graphic design and video team.
  • Develop on-brand creative concepts in collaboration with core clients.
  • Build positive relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure web development team follows quality guidelines and release processes including performance, speed, accessibility, quality assurance, SEO and security standards.
  • Develop key contacts within media and build strategic relationships with MPs and thought leaders.
  • Monitor key PR and advocacy metrics and report to Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.
  • Execute emergency campaigns and crisis communications.
  • Improve creative output efficiency and quality, ensuring value for money and ensure the production and delivery of high-quality content.

What they are looking for…

  • You will have a degree in one of the following disciplines: Graphic Design, Communications, Digital Marketing, PR, Marketing etc.
  • You will have over 8 years’ experience working in communications.
  • You will have had some experience across all disciplines including graphic design, video, copywriting, PR and website.
  • Previous experience managing a team.
  • Ideally you will have managed / worked in an international team.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and meeting stakeholder needs.
  • A creative and innovative approach.
  • Strong communications skills to ensure effective stakeholder management.
  • Experience leading on strategy.
  • Must be happy with occasional international travel.
