Forward Role are working with an innovative, high-tech, care company who are seeking an SEO/Content and Social Media Executive! You will be experienced in implementing and executing content strategies, have tangible experience in SEO and understanding of best practice, as well as a strong track record generating social traffic for sites. The company are now focussing on bringing their SEO and Content in house, as previously it has been managed by agencies. You will be reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager and be part of a small digital team. In this role, you will develop excellent digital content, social media and SEO activities and support the Digital Marketing team and Contact Centre team with lead generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and executing the implementation of the SEO strategy, including content, social media, outreach and technical SEO, establishing these as key contributors to the customer acquisition and conversion strategy, increasing traffic to a number of different sites.
  • Perform keyword research to coincide with business objectives to optimise existing content and find & develop new opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate search rankings and performances across the major search channels in order to improve rankings.
  • Ensure the integrity of inbound linking, manage redirects to preserve link equity and ensure 404s are minimised across the site.
  • Work closely with an external agency and internal departments to drive engagement by planning an engaging content strategy through digital and traditional channels.
  • Content management across a number of digital channels.
  • Planning and content creation across email marketing, video, social media, digital media and rich media campaigns.
  • Lead, develop and grow the department to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of team objectives.
  • Source external content through copywriters, researchers, content specialists and editors.
  • Use data to drive further decision making and report on the effectiveness of SEO and content to senior management.
  • Keep pace with SEO, social media and digital marketing industry trends and development.
  • Planning web, SEO, marketing database, email and display advertising campaigns.
  • Enhance the company's online presence including social media engagement
  • Develop, implement and manage content, social media and SEO strategies.
  • Enhance brand awareness through clever digital strategies
  • Measure and report campaign performance and ROI


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Desirable - CIM, DMA or IDM qualifications and relevant training
  • At least 2 years SEO, social media and content marketing experience (agency or client side), ideally for a consumer business.
  • Strong technical on-page and off-page optimisation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO tools for auditing rankings and research, technologies and industry trends.
  • Proven experience of delivering commercial content marketing strategies and plans with emphasis on ROI.
  • Extensive experience of producing and editing content for a range of digital channels.
  • Experience of reporting with web and social analytics, including Google Analytics, Keyword Planner and Webmaster Tools.
  • A confident attitude with excellent communication skills when dealing with colleagues at all levels.
  • Creative, tenacious and proactive, with excellent copywriting skills.
  • Motivated with very strong organisation and time management skills.
  • A true SEO champion with a real passion for all things digital and ecommerce.
  • Ideally qualification in digital marketing or a complimentary/related field
  • Proven working experience in digital content/SEO marketing, 2 years+ B2C
  • Demonstrable experience managing SEO, marketing database, email, social media and / or display advertising campaigns.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns and writing content that engages, informs and motivates.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include knowledge of PowerPoint Presentation, Excel and skills in Digital Marketing strategy.
